National Conference on Advances in Functional Materials               The department of chemistry and physics organized one day national conference on 16 February 2024 at Doodhsakhar Mahavidyalaya,Bidri.   CHEM-QUIZ COMPETITION 2024 Vision:  To impart awareness & sense of curiosity among the student about chemical world.       Mission: To organize quizzing program intrinsically and to send outstanding students for           various quiz programs held elsewhere. Quizzing is a form of learning. It awakens and ignites the investigative and inquisitive minds of the students. A Quiz program is a unique and exciting asset to motivate, inspire, encourage and reward  students Chem-quiz competition was held on 13 th August 2024 on the birth anniversary of Dr. P. C. Ray, father of Indian chemistry. Online competition was held in ICT hall at 10.30 am. Via Google platform. Thirty participants from B.Sc. I and B.Sc. Dr.Sawant S.K. delivered lecture on 09/06/2022 for B.Sc-II students at Shri Yashwantrao Patil Science college, Solankur on the topic 'Carbohydrates'. During lecture they discussed various aspects of carbohydrates and their utility. Carbohydrates are a vital source of energy for human body. They are stored in the liver and muscles as glycogen used as an energy source.

Our student ( 2021-22 batch) awarded Inspire fellowship and she stood first rank in the all-science stream ( she became gold medalist in Shivaji University, Kolhapur)
